Give Breast Cancer the Boot 2018

Give Breast Cancer the Boot is a biennial event started in 2008 by UCSF patients and volunteers, many of them breast cancer survivors. The event raises money to directly benefit breast cancer patients at the UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center and funds projects focused on quality of life, new treatment options, patient navigation and decision counseling, and survivorship, among others.

Party attire – bring out your boots!

Give Breast Cancer the Boot, a biennial event, gathers together friends of UCSF to learn the latest on breast cancer research, listen to live music, dance, and enjoy great company. Proceeds go to programs that can immediately benefit our breast cancer patients at the UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center. For instance, a portion of the $1.1 million the 2016 Boot raised helped patients with nutrition counseling and provided massages for patients undergoing chemotherapy. The Boot funding also furthers the work of our basic scientists, who are researching the vulnerabilities of different types of breast cancers to develop new therapeutics and improved treatments.

Your support enhances the quality of care and comfort our patients receive, while also advancing cutting-edge cancer research for improved outcomes. Thank you! Please come and enjoy a fun night with friends that kick-starts our fight against breast cancer in 2018 and beyond.

We look forward to sharing the incredible impact that Give Breast Cancer the Boot support has made on our patient programs and research.
